The estate, one of the most important of Gavi Monferrato, Piemonte, extends over 188 acres planted with Gavi D.O.C.G. Monferrato Red with Albarossa, Gavi Spumante. In the middle of the estate is the historic Villabuilt by the Marques Sauli, an ancient and powerful family of Genoese bankers. With the French Revolution Napoleon, triumphant from Marengo probably stayed one night at La Marchesa. Nowadays, with Giulini family, La Marchesa is back to its old splendour with the same lands as in 1750, the chapel and the orangerie is perfectly restored, the ancient Sauli house has been transformed in agriturism.
