Relais Villa Sagramoso Sacchetti

The origins of the Villa have been uncertain and debated for a long time.
Recent studies have found important documents stating that Gian Giacomo d'Arco bought the property named "Corno Alto" from Count BailardinoNogarola on November 8, 1602. Between 1603 and 1604, Gian Giacomo d'Arco entrusted the veronese architects and master builders Gian Alberto Milani and Ludovico Del Guardo (the latest is the author of the staircase of the choir of the church of S.Giorgio in 1585, located in Verona) with the reconstruction of the monumental buildings.
Therefore Villa d'Arco Sagramoso Sacchetti is considered with full rights one of the most outstanding country homes built within the XVI and XVII centuries just outside Verona.
The villa and the surrounding estate were bought by Alessandro e Rosandra Sagramoso Sacchetti in the mid-sixsties.
The restoration was also possible thanks to the support of the IstitutoRegionaledelle Ville Venete and is protected as "a real property of historical and artistic interest" (according to the Italian Law 1089/1939).
