Recently renovated, this delightful house, located next to the Romanesque church of the Borgo on one side and the other overlooks the castle of the Counts Cervini which is separated by an orchard and a large lawn.
Two giant and centenarian chestnut trees mark the entrance of the house.
Through a French door you enter directly into the living room with a comfortable sofa on one side, in front of the dining table, the kitchenette and the fireplace.
An easy staircase leads to the upper floor where there is a double bedroom with a four-poster bed and an en suite bathroom.
A French door opens onto a tiny balcony where you can enjoy the view of Cervini Castle.

The Castello di Vivo d'Orcia is located in the charming area Val d'Orcia in the south of Tuscany, at 2 hours from Firenze, 1 now from Siena, near cultural jewels like Pienza, Montalcino e Montepulciano, to name just a few.
The village Vivo D'Orcia is located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level.
The particular combination of altitude and the Mediterranean climate create an unusual combination of flora and fauna.
Many wild animals such as deer, wild boar and foxes as well as the truffles in Monte Amiata they find their home.
Refuge of a Pope: the estate with the imposing castle and the Romanesque church dates back to the XI century. The humble hermitage was transformed into a sophisticated and well organized agricultural center, when the cardinal Marcello Cervini, then pope Marcello II, bought the estate in 1534.
The property is still owned by the family today.
The castle in January 2005 was published on "The World of Interiors".
