Casa Vittoria: a charming villa for holidays on Lake Como

Casa Vittoria is the guesthouse of a villa, already owned by the well-known Milanese aristocratic family Litta Modignani, built in neoclassical forms during the first half of the nineteenth century by Arch. Luigi Tatti.
The house is located in a hamlet of Tremezzo, inside an ancient fishing village (Portezza).

The guesthouse is surrounded by a garden directly overlooking the lake, it is accessible from the lake via a pier that allows the docking of motorboats and seaplanes.

The Municipality of Tremezzina is the best known stretch of Lake Como, and with the opposite shore of Bellagio and its surroundings it hosts the most celebrated places.

Casa Vittoria has recently undergone a careful restoration by Arch. Cristiana Vannini (www.cristianavannini.it) who has preserved and redeveloped all the original characters, integrating them with every modern convenience, including the lift and Wi-Fi connection.

Casa Vittoria offers the availability of four two-bed rooms.
All rooms are equipped with heating and air conditioning; with private shower / toilet, and all have lake and garden views. The beamed ceiling and wooden floor ensure perfect soundproofing.

The rooms are furnished with period furniture and paintings making it a very fascinating place to spend your holidays on Lake Como.

The ground floor is intended for common spaces (kitchen, dining room, living room, services); so Casa Vittoria can also be enjoyed as a single-family home for large families.

A holiday on Lake Como

Lake Como, or Lario, was already known during the Roman era for the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape. Through the waterway, from the Po valley it was easy to reach the beginning of Valtellina and Val Chiavenna and from the latter, through the Via Regia, also Roman, to reach the Engadin.

There are several families of the Milanese aristocracy who build their homes on Lake Como, often surrounded by wonderful parks and gardens.
The great fame of the Lario begins from the nineteenth century, when visiting the places is part of an almost mandatory detour to the classic route of the Grand Tour.
Tourism was born, with the creation of the first large hotels equipped with modern comforts, which can be reached with comfortable boats (some of which have been restored and are still in service).

Casa Vittoria is the ideal choice for those who want to spend an unforgettable holiday on Lake Como; a unique place to relax and rediscover the pleasure of peace.
