The history of Palazzo Dalla Rosa
The current characteristics of the dwelling should date back to second half of eighteenth century: in general lines, in the balcony of the façade rich in wrought iron barriers, in the games of the arches of the courtyard, in a large room on the first floor probably painted by Benigno Bossi, the expression of the best art of the time.
It is learned that Dalla Rosa Prati owned one gallery choice di paintings, mainly of parmigiana school, including a superb canvas of a Madonna with Child and Santa Caterina di Girolamo Mazzola.
Many of the paintings are today exposed to the National Gallery di Parma.
The excellent restoration of the dwelling, now used as residence di luxury, has given back to the medieval square the long-awaited ancient image.
