Tenuta Filangieri de Clario
the Tenuta dei Conti Filangieri de Candida Gonzaga is a historic property located in San Paolo Bel Sito, in the Valle di Lauro, in the Vesuvian area.
It is a farm-house built around a large rustic courtyard. Opposite the villa, a gate leads to the ornamental Italian style park which extends for six hectares. To it are added a grove and
a large rural area that includes orange groves, hazel e olive groves for a total of thirty hectares.
Formerly owned by the noble Mastrilli family and then by the Dukes de Clario of Finocchito, the property is
arrived for paternal inheritance to Eleonora Filangieri de Candida Gonzaga.
The ground floor rooms, now in disuse, were used for many agricultural activities: one great
cellar with ancient barrels, the rooms for pressing the oil and the grapes, the stalls. Remarkable is the monumental press made from a single cypress trunk.
A two-flighted staircase leads to the first floor stately furnished with nineteenth-century furniture
decorated with noble coats of arms of the House. From the entrance you go to a billiard room, a living room with
grand piano, a dining room and other rooms that the family still lives mainly in summer.
