You can choose to take advantage of the park with old trees or be framed by the frescoed rooms on the main floor. The villa is surrounded by green spaces, beyond which the view widens on the Friuli countryside, up to the mountains. An oasis of tranquility where you can spend holidays on weekends or organize events.

The history of Villa Dragoni

Villa Dragoni Florio is located in the hills of Buttrio, and is dated late 1500 beginning 1600. This is testified by the fresco on the wall of the first-floor loggia of the west tower, which depicts hunting scenes still to be attributed, but which by technique and by subject can be traced back to the end of the 1500.

The building was owned by the Bertolini family who made it possible to create frescoes by Chiarottini, Canal and Morelli school, between 1786 and 1803; all Friulian painters of remarkable quality.

Marina Danieli bought the complex and the vineyard in the 1985, and in the 1988 started the restoration works. All the structural interventions have been chosen with maximum respect for the building and its integrity, trying, where possible, to recover and restore all the existing material. The restoration of the frescoes took three years of painstaking work, as during the Second World War the house was the first seat of the German troops, who, according to the witnesses, paid close attention to the works. Later it was occupied by the Americans, who not only covered all the frescoes with white paint, but also made red paint and used the walls for the game of darts.

inside the villa it is possible to stay in 12 finely furnished rooms in the brand new Art style. This timeless style is found in all types of rooms whose dimensions start from a minimum of 23 square meters, to ensure community intimacy. Each room favors a complete immersion in the surrounding space with large windows that tend towards the green of the eastern hills of Friuli. In the garden there is a swimming pool with sun loungers, deck chairs and complete garden equipment.

An attic lounge of tables, with 160 seats and equipped with all the technological equipment necessary for an official conduct of events. Inspired by tradition and local products, our chefs offer guests the pleasures of exciting and always new tastes. In the frescoed rooms and on the first floor we can set up an elegant refreshment to accompany your work day.

The ancient cellars of the ground floor, once used for the preparation of wine, have been restored to look for an evocative atmosphere with rustic tones, able to accommodate a comfortable wedding banquet or a ballroom.
