History
La Casetta nel Parco is an ancient stone building with stone roofs, piota in the local dialect.
It is located in a park of over one hectare, a hundred meters from the lake and, it seems, that in the past was used as a depoisto of the lucie, the famous Lario boats so named in honor of the Manzoni character.
Today it is separated from the lake by the road, but originally stood within a single property that, very large and important, included the bank of the lake to reach almost the foot of the mountains behind.
Purchased at the end of the nineteenth century by engineer Giulio Rubini, deputy for over twenty years and three times minister at the turn of the century, the last owner of the Ferriera di Dongo founded in the sixteenth century and purchased by the Rubini at the end of '700, together with the Villa Rubini Redaelli, is to it unit from an underpass covered in white marble, designed by the architect Francesco Clerici.

On the second and last floor of the Casetta nel Parco there is a delightful attic of about 150 sqm, composed of a huge living room with open kitchen, three double bedrooms with two bathrooms and a large terrace. It can be rented throughout the year.
