The history of Villa Sola Cabiati

Villa Sola Cabiati, beloved summer residence of the Serbelloni dukes, is a perfect example of Late Baroque building with the main body flanked by two lateral wings, the cappuccine: a delicacy of stucco and pearl gray stone, interrupted by the pale blue of the shutters.

The main body of the villa was built at the beginning of the 500th century by dukes of the Carretto.

Duke Gabrio Serbelloni in the second half of the 700th century gave the house its present appearance, adding the two wings and the decoration of marble balconies and curved tympanums.

The Serbelloni family crest stands out on the top of the Villa and the motto engraved on the entrance portal (villulae quietem) invites you to days of peaceful rest.

The mansion was later passed on by marriage to the Sola Cabiati counts and their descendants, never changing ownership.
