The largest open-air museum in Italy reopens its doors.
Sunday 25 May 2025 sees the return of the Giornata Nazionale of the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane, now in its 14th edition.
Over 450 exclusive private houses such as castles, fortresses, villas, parks and gardens will be open to visitors free of charge, in an immersion in the history that still today makes our country identifiable in the world and that could constitute the linchpin of the country’s long-term sustainable development.
The event is an important opportunity to let the general public discover – free of charge – the beauties of our country and shed light on a heritage that is too often ignored, which represents the best Italian history and tradition but also a potential to be preserved and enhanced for the future.
