Bevilacqua Ariosti Palace was built between 1477 and 1482. Its importance is due in particular to Pope Paul III’s decision in 1547 to hold several sessions of the Council of Trent there.

The palace is notable for its architectural style, which is not typical of Bologna, especially evident in the absence of a portico. Inside, it features a splendid courtyard. At the beginning of the 20th century, it underwent restoration work carried out by Alfonso Rubbiani.

The grand halls can host cocktail parties, gala receptions, exclusive exhibitions, and film shoots. The building is not open to visitors except a couple of times a year or on special occasions such as Arte Fiera.

In 2022, the halls known as Nicolosa—named in honor of the wife of Sanuti, a former owner—served as the filming location for five episodes of the Sky Arte program Anima e Corpo, which aired starting May 23, 2023.

The descendants of the Bevilacqua Ariosti family still reside in the palace today.
