THE CHURCH
Church of Madonna della Quercia: so named in honour of Our Lady, who appeared to the faithful on an oak, a jewel of nineteenth century architecture, it is internally connected to the Villa.
The floor in an authentic Venetian mosaic, which includes the coat of arms of the Carrara Family, and the frescoes on the vaults make tangible the mastery of the artisans who made these.
THE VILLA
Wanted in 1800 by Donna Catherine Annonj as a gift to Count Enrico Carrara, her spouse and direct descendant of the family of Carraresi of Padua, the Villa was first summer and then permanent residence of the noble family.
In its rooms and its rich furnishings still live the atmosphere of the years in which the house was a meeting place for artists, scientists and intellectuals, whom the Carrara loved to house in and support.
The Halls of Villa Carrara immediately highlight the skill of the craftsmen of the time, able to create ceilings, interiors and finishes of sober majesty. Two floors with Halls of various widths, which have seen lavish weddings, major decisions, celebrations in honour of nobles and dignitaries. They are now available for your most beautiful and exciting days.
