The Castle of Malpaga is one of Lombardy’s most important edifices. Dating back to the 14th century, with its unspoiled beauty and inestimable cultural significance, it dominates an expanse of 300 hectares of agricultural fields within the grounds of the regional park of the Serio River. Formerly the home and fiefdom realm of fearless mercenary and commander Bartolemeo Colleoni, who was Captain-General of the Republic of Venice, the Castle is now open throughout the year for guided tours, activities for families and schools, and events for both public and private groups.
