We are commited to the preservation and promotion of our italian heritage

“Italian Historical Residences” is the project of ADSI Consulenze e Servizi SRL (a single-member company owned by the A.D.S.I. Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane or ‘Italian Historical Residences Association’).

All of the residences appearing on this website are owned by Members belonging to the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane.

The project originated from the desire to create an online platform for the promotion of Italy's historical and monumental real estate heritage, in synergy with the country's cultural national treasures.

The Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane has been actively engaged in promoting and protecting Italy's private real estate heritage for almost four decades. To this end, there has been a period of intense activity promoting the local areas by means of itineraries dedicated to helping visitors discover these properties and its owners, who are the custodians of the important artistic and historical traditions of our national identity and culture, as well as examples of age-old artisan craftsmanship which still exists today.

Thanks to the website, it is possible to discover extraordinary places and have access to experiential itineraries that, with the help of experts from the Italian world of culture, allow travellers to relive the atmospheres and emotions of the 18th-century Grand Tour. From Palladian Villas near Venice to Castles in Sicily, and from tiny hamlets in Tuscany to fortified farmsteads in Puglia: it is possible to go on a journey through time exploring Italy’s cultural identity and experiencing the different areas and regions firsthand. The Residences are located not only in the best-known Italian cities attracting the most tourists, but also in hidden pearls dotted all over the peninsula. These are places that are unknown to the wider public, but are of great significance and beauty, revealing some of the characteristics that make this country so unique. Still largely to be discovered by visitors, they offer a perfect blend of nature, art and tradition. In addition, in many of the Historical Residences it is possible to savour enological and gastronomic experiences and enter a world where fine wines, unspoiled landscapes and crenellated towers are the order of the day. The very best that Italy has to offer.

All of the Historic Residences that appear on this website are subject to Ministerial Constraints regarding heritage sites ex Legislative Decree 42/2004 (formerly L.1089/39) and have been evaluated and approved by the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane.
