VILLA DEGLI ALBERTINI AND ITS PARK
Villa degli Albertini stands overlooking Lake Garda, and its extensive Romantic Park dominates the basin of the town of Garda near Verona. The central neoclassical core of the property is crowned by five crenellated towers. The extensive monumental park, designed by Ronzani, extends over the hill behind and features a profusion of centuries-old trees including cypresses, redwood, pine and magnolia trees, as well as greenhouses, chalets, turrets, a belvedere, fountains and waterfalls alimented by a small lake.
THE HISTORY OF THE VILLA AND PARK DEGLI ALBERTINI
Owned by the Becelli family since the 16th century, it passed to the Albertinis in the 18th century where, at the beginning of the following century, the Villa was transformed in neo-Gothic style and an English-style Romantic Park was created in the ancient ‘brolo’ orchard.
