The history of Villa Frassanelle
Frassanelle is located in the Euganean Hills Regional Park, between the cities of Padua and Vicenza, just 50 km west of Venice. Its origins date back to the 13th century, and its history is inextricably linked to that of the Papafava dei Carraresi family, descendants of the da Carrara family, who were lords of Padua between 1318 and 1405.

The 200-hectare estate contains: the neo-classical manor house complete with its grottoes, which can be visited by groups of a minimum of 12 people and by prior appointment, a 60-hectare historical park and the celebrated Frassanelle Golf Club, while wheat and corn are cultivated in the nearby fields.

Some of the farmhouses and holiday homes have recently been renovated. ‘Bencontenta’ is an old farmhouse with a private swimming pool and can accommodate up to 14 people. ‘Tempietto’, built in 1822 in the neo-classical style, is located in the heart of the grounds and can accommodate 4 people. ‘Lieta’ was formerly a farmhouse and is for 8 people. Last but not least, there are 5 holiday apartments in the 17^th-century ‘Fattoria’ which can accommodate up to 14 people. In addition, the spacious rooms of the Fattoria, once used for farming, have been refurbished to accommodate weddings and other private events. The cellar, tavern, the portico and farmyards combined can accommodate over 300 people in a simple setting that has all the authentic flavours of rural Veneto.
