VILLA ISOLANI, A HISTORICAL VILLA IN THE BOLOGNESE COUNTRYSIDE 

Villa Isolani is a historical residence in Ozzano dell'Emilia in the province of Bologna. This neo-classical villa features six rooms decorated with frescoes in the Pompeian style that can accommodate up to 200 standing guests. Additionally, there is an external 319-square-metre marquee, with capacity for an additional 400 people.

The Villa’s park also houses a large marquee that is a perfect location for hosting weddings, private receptions and gala dinners during the milder periods of the year, as well as conferences, congresses and business meetings. Located in the relaxing countryside of Bologna, just 14 km from the city centre, Villa Isolani is easily accessible, as it lies within a few minutes’ drive of the ring road and the San Lazzaro exit of the A14 motorway.

THE HISTORY OF VILLA ISOLANI

Villa Isolani, formerly known as Palazzo Pasi, as is indicated in the Boncompagni land registry of 1784, was rebuilt following the entry of Napoleon Bonaparte into Bologna in 1805, along with his garrisons and court.

The properties of the locality of Ozzano di Sotto were entrusted to Count Tattini, Commander of the National Guard. He not only commissioned the restoration of the Villa, resulting in its current appearance with two smaller wings at the sides, but also a new design for the park. The Count invited a famous French architect to Italy, who transformed the solemn and classical garden of the 18th-century Bolognese villa into an exquisite example of a Romantic Park, spanning approximately 7½ hectares. It is characterised by small wooded areas with winding, hidden paths. These nooks and crannies created artificially wild and dramatic corners that can still be admired today and provide a perfect backdrop for weddings and receptions.
