Villa Contessa Massari in Voghiera
The current building originated around 1620 as a residence associated with the Dominican Order that was linked to various productive activities, while also being designed to intentionally display a series of representative features.

Villa Contessa Massari has a surface area of 1,200 square metres, with an additional 500 square metres of stables and a 26,000 square metres of parkland.

The Villa was recently renovated by Prof. Avv. Francesco Caputo Nassetti, who resides there with his family and has transformed it into an exclusive venue for hospitality and event organisation.

The history of Villa Contessa Massari
Villa Contessa Massari is located in Ducentola, a hamlet in the municipality of Voghiera in the province of Ferrara, which is about 9 km away.

The Villa dates back to the noble family of the Nigrelli Counts of Modena, who were part of the court of Alfonso II, the last Duke of Este who passed away in 1598 (after which time the Duchy came under the control of the Pope).

It subsequently passed on to the Sassi Nigrelli family of Modena, and then in 1798 to the Dotti family. In 1870, it became the property of Duke Galeazzo Massari.
