It features eight apartments, two conference rooms and other communal spaces accommodating guests on this rustic Venetian estate, which has been carefully restored in a refined country style. It also contains a professional kitchen where tastings and cooking classes are organised for both amateurs and professionals.
Guests staying on the estate can visit the vineyards, drying lofts and wine cellars, as well as having the opportunity to participate in guided and wine tasting tours in the public retail area, where it is possible to taste the complete range of Serego Alighieri and Masi wines. Additionally, you can discover historic Amarone cru wines and a carefully curated selection of aged and historical vintages, along with a range of traditional culinary specialties that showcase the excellence of the region.
The history of Villa Serego Alighieri
Dante Alighieri spent a number of years of his exile in Verona. His son Pietro, who remained there even after the great poet’s demise, acquired the Casal dei Ronchi estate in 1353 in the heart of historic Valpolicella. The large 120-hectare estate is still cultivated with vines to this day. Twenty generations later, the estate still belongs to the Serego Alighieri Counts, direct descendants of the poet, who continue to oversee the farm’s agricultural, wine-growing and hospitality activities.
