It is an event in its Third Edition, organized by the owners of 16 private historic houses in the Bergamo area. This year, due to the health emergency, the event, which usually takes place in spring, between 20 September and 18 October has been postponed.

It seemed important to give a signal for recovery, thus allowing the public to get in touch with the beauty that certainly represents a cure for the soul.

The event will begin on September 20 and will be part of “The Masters of the Landscape”, an important collaboration that has been going on for several years and which allows to give value to the greenery of the gardens and parks of the historic houses.

The visit is proposed both to the interiors with frescoed rooms and furnished with important furniture and to Italian gardens, English parks, hanging gardens rich in particular essences and sometimes even animated by animals, such as peacocks at Villa La Gargana. Secret and fascinating places, where you can get lost for a few hours accompanied by the story of the hosts who will tell anecdotes and events that happened in the houses.

The initiative was born in 2018 from the will of 14 owners, this year there are several new features, three new homes have joined the circuit: Villa Pagnoncelli Folceri, the Estate of the Castle of Grumello and the Castello di Valverde, unfortunately, is no longer part of the Palazzo Moroni group having been taken over by the FAI, but always available for visits.

Villa Pesenti Agliardi, by opening the rooms inhabited daily by the owners, has chosen to suspend visits for health reasons, until the end of the Covid emergency.

On 4 October the event will join the ADSI National Day (Association of Italian Historic Houses) opening all at the same time. An important event to remember the importance of a private heritage that is supported by the commitment of the individual owners, but which constitutes a fundamental slice of the Italian artistic heritage.
Many of these homes open all year round by appointment for groups, or are available for the organization of events.

From our website facebook page you will find the calendar with the details of the event and the description of each dwelling. The guided tours will all be by reservation, in compliance with anti - Covid regulations.
